DRINKING RUM ON THE SHORE

Everything is becoming mysterious:
The feathers of the raven and the gems
From the depths of the earth
Men and Women alike wandering
What is holy and what profane
Repertoire of outrageous sounds
The sea-foam bringing corpse of sometime
Creatures full of life-red corrals and spawn
Of whales with the smell of Ocean’s basement
The elders on the shore sitting
Having small glasses of Rum
Rolling the dice; who shall
Better host the Death;while she
Awaits for the bed where to nap
For a while;
undressing her aquamarine
Brocade and heavy accessories from
The metals of the seven mountains
Of the heart
…and the odor she releases
Allures even the most agnostics
And disbelievers
She is calm and tranquil
As potent as Queen but she
Dares not to knock
On the door of the orphan
I see…she has compassion for me
Or perhaps she isn’t ordered yet
To kiss me in the forehead
Where the blood-spots draw
The constellation of Sagittarian
I invoke the name of Mother
And summon spirits of the distant earths
Since the celebration started, when
The banquet is set up by the grand breasts
Nymphs- Apsaras
If there’s a Paradise somewhere
It descended here so I become
Dead before death that happens
In a blast of a moment and
In trillion’s part of millimeters
Where another dimension is experiencing
A diffusion of a new Big Bang and
Supernovas- cosmic babies are
Milked by Mother I call in
My dwelling- a serene settlement
Of us – all of us

Green Muffin Hills

(I’m the ashes beneath your holly feet my Miriai)

Blood cells turned blue…
a mass of blue kelp floats,
somewhere amidst nine layers of fog;
You see no one except the “I”.
You see…there’s no one encroached ever,
the valleys of green muffin hills resembling,
Darjeeling fields with the white clouds just near the leafs
Sprinkled pearls of dew… in them alloyed rhizoid bacteria
fertilizing the images of someone supposed to be Spiritual Something
but where?- where is the one who felt down in despair for the Men lost the idea for
the Magic of something called Love, and the Hexes of Creativity beyond visible forms
and shapes disperses, and colors, and nuances, and sound, and vibrations, and feelings, and destinations…
and destinations…
and destinations…
and the tree that laments the death of lianas embracing its marvelous body as old as
Holy Scriptures, those who evaporate the smell of Nard and keep between its pages the wreaths of Myrrh…oh Mother Miriai: “I’m the ashes beneath your holly feet when you swear in Certitude”: In my forehead there’s a testimony, the Angel of the Right Shoulder and the Angel of my Left…are witness what my Womb bears: for others are unable to see what you saw, Miriai. No, there were never neither they would ever be able to see, what you saw:- what I saw…what I saw…what I saw…what I saw…what I…

DRAGOI

Dragoi was his name until he died after his father’s curiosity
killed him with his bloody eavesdropping
He used to wake up in the morning and listen to
the rooster of faraway Shkodra in Albania
When the rooster finished he used to go to a mother’s recess
and tell her how many evil ones he had killed
with the pole made from hazel wood
Mother old with the map of heaven on her face
used to smile, pamper and roll a few tears so they might leak into Dragoi’s cheeks
Small wings Dragoi kept hidden beneath his muslin tunic
tailored by his mother Miriai and the sigils of some
grand Archangel were embroidered with the aquamarine silk
bought in Thessaloniki before Austro-Hungarian
Prince Franz Ferdinand was assassinated in Sarajevo
as the days were regrouping in bunches like vine-sticks
mother was collecting the blood colored rose petals
for jam that was a continuous family delight
Father sneaked into the room behind the curtains
of heavy brocade and Dragoi undressed
to have a ritual bath with the salts of seven seas
melted in a bathtub
Father saw in awe the wings of Dragoi – one on the left
another on the right side of his back
The father fainted out of fear, the mother came in after the pain
as harsh as lightning that splits the sky
in her womb knowing about the death
of Dragoi – her one and only miracle
she had brought from seven heavens afar
yet she bore the lump in the back of her scalp
as a mark and as a seal for distant skies
